**Vocabulary Words of the Week**1. 오싹하다to have a chill; to be creeped out
sample sentence:
그 생각만으로도 까무러칠 만큼 오싹해요

2. 학대 虐待
abuse, mistreatment, maltreatment, ill-treatment
sample sentence:
예술이 수년간 신체적 학대를 당했어요
예술 suffered years of physical abuse.
3. 시체 屍體
(dead) body, corpse; (연구용의) cadaver; (동물의) carcass
sample sentence:
형사들은 그 시체에서 아무런 흔적도 찾지 못했어요
Detectives found no marks on the body.
4. 유품 遺品
article left by the deceased
sample sentence:
준휘는 아버지의 유품인 그 시계를 신주 모시듯 했어요
준휘 held dear the watch his deceased father had left to him.
5. 화장 火葬
cremation
* This is different from 화장 as in make-up or cosmetics, which is also different from 화장실 which means rest room, comfort room, or in some other cultures powder room or water closet.
sample sentence:
고인의 뜻에 따라 시신은 화장되었어요
The body was cremated in accordance with the wishes of the deceased.
